FUNCTION: Junior to Mid Level Budget Analyst
 
LOCATION: Washington D.C. Operations - Arlington, VA
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
 
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The position requires three equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will be familiar with governmental accounting processes associated with commitments, obligations, and expenditures. The work requires knowledge of specialized accounting procedures and guidelines, and analytical skills sufficient to perform fiscal record keeping. Proficiency in MS Office is required; an advanced Excel and Access skillset is preferred.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will support day-to-day financial management and execution support using the Federal Financial Management System (FFMS). FFMS records the allocation, commitment, obligation, and expenditure of funds for Cybersecurity and Communication (CS&C). In addition the candidate will provide support in evaluating/recommending improvements in internal control processes, invoice processing support, and various reports and analyses as required. The candidate will review internal control procedures and recommend/assist in the development of appropriate controls necessary to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse. The candidate will work closely with team members answering questions and dealing with sensitive financial issues.
