FUNCTION: NASA Operations Senior Technical Advisor - Integrated Analysis in WDC area
LOCATION: Washington D.C. Operations - Arlington, VA
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The position requires eight equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills for an Advanced or Senior Analyst position in the WDC area. The position requires organized, detail-oriented individuals with the ability to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships. Candidates must have past performance demonstrating the ability to develop, implement, and present innovative analytical methods within the cost estimating, earned value management, risk management, and schedule analysis context. Demonstrated understanding of basic and advanced statistics with evidence of successful application of these principles in NASA and/or Department of Defense (DoD) cost estimating and/or research is essential. Demonstrated skill in presenting complex technical topics to peers in a national conference setting (or equivalent) is required. Familiarity with Space Systems programs and demonstrated success in developing and defending risk adjusted cost estimates is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a recognized standing in a related professional field through original contribution. Applicants must be fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Position primary location may be negotiated. The ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will provide technical expertise specifically in the area of integrated cost/schedule risk analysis to NASA and DoD related customers. Principal responsibilities will be performing or providing guidance in cost estimation, schedule assessment, developing estimating methodologies, cost/schedule performance assessment, and risk modeling. Candidates must be capable of leading or principally contributing to research studies and be motivated to present at several industry conferences and symposiums annually.
