FUNCTION: Earned Value Management/Systems Administration
 
LOCATION: Washington D.C. Operations - Arlington, VA
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
 
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The position requires five equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: The ideal applicant will have a sound knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, analysis and techniques (including XML schemas), demonstrated pro-active contributions in a team environment including excellent verbal communication, written and quantitative analytical skills and be able to work in a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency in implementing and maintaining EVMS, a working knowledge in one or more of the following software tools: Acumen Fuse, Encore Empower, EVM-CR, Safran Proteus Envision, Steelray Javelin and/or winSight is required as is a working knowledge of Department of Defense and/or Department of Energy acquisition and project management processes. This position requires five years equivalent experience in EVM and Systems Administration support. Applicant must be proficient in the use of MS office applications and posses a BS in information technology or related field required. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Working closely with government staff, government program office teams, support contractors and weapon systems contractors, this position will: • Provide ongoing analysis and operation of an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to include data and tool algorithm validation/quality control, facilitation of maintenance and upgrade of the software suite, and help desk support for network and desktop configurations • Prepare and maintain documentation of EVMS network and desktop configurations as necessary • Identify business processes and technologies that could be incorporated to add new functionality, reduce complexity or reduce costs • Evaluate wide and/or local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities, and make recommendations to support business process enhancements • Perform routine project data and documentation collection, catalogue and program status reviews.
