FUNCTION: Scheduler
 
LOCATION: Dahlgren Office - King George, VA
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
 
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The position requires two equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent quantitative skills for a mid to senior level project planning and scheduling position. This position requires an organized, detailed-oriented individual with good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), and experience with Government acquisitions programs, Department of Defense (DoD) preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in the development of integrated project schedules, schedule analysis and forecasts, and preparation of schedule reports and presentations. Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, analyzing and presenting integrated project schedules in a DoD weapon system acquisition program. Duties will include performing schedule risk assessments, analysis of schedule variance, evaluation of schedule progress against the plan, critical path analysis, and evaluation of contractor’s written reports. Work may also include schedule estimating, substantiation of confidence level generation, schedule/prediction analysis, performance measurement (earned value) and project forecasting. This position will have daily interface with government personnel and prime contractors.
